For obvious reasons we are hesitant to update - things generally work well, and we get high uptimes. It is however about time we looked at what has changed and been fixed - and the list is long.

For this reason, the testserver is currently running a completely up-to-date core with ditto database. So far we have been unable to find any major new problems (and quite a lot of good fixes), but the world of warcraft is huge and we simply cannot test everything. To this end you, the players, are invited to login on the testserver and check out your class's main skills, your favourite instances, or the battleground of your choice - and let us know if you find any new bugs. This public testing period will extend for the rest of the week, after which we intend to put the update live & perform some routine maintainance as well. Of course, we will see to it that a character of your choice on the live server will get a suitable reward if you do find new bugs or problems.

You can login on the testserver by selecting the 'Change Realm' button on your character selection screen and selecting the 'TBC Test Server' found under the 'Development' tab.

We will be performing some routine maintainance and patching today to address several broken quests & creatures.

Additionally, there will be an update for Sunwell Plateau:

- Fire wall only lowers after both Felmyst and Brutallus are killed.
- Eredar Twins will be fully scripted.
- Alterac Valley Marks of Honor are now sold by Amer Hambanner who roams around the Terrace of Light.

Overall impact on gameplay should be minimal, except for the issues mentioned. Expect downtime to last about fifteen to twenty minutes, to be announced in-game.

As usual, more information can be found on the forums as it becomes available.

Update
Maintainance run complete, server is back online. Please report any and all issues you might find on the forums.

In order to fix the increasing number of bugged npc/objects respawn timers, among other things, we're going to perform a Database cleanup next sunday, starting around 3:00 p.m. servertime. The whole procedure should last about an hour or two.

This will NOT affect the tables on which characters data is stored but, to be safe, everything will be backed up before the cleanup. In case something goes wrong (and this is a very unlikely thing to happen), we will just restore the DB to its status previous to the maintenance.

**UPDATE** The maintenance has been cancelled until further notice.
